Located right by the sea, the restaurant at Sofitel Grand Sopot serves a lavish breakfast buffet filled each morning with freshly baked bread, crisp vegetables and fruit, as well as cold cuts and cheeses from local suppliers. The buffet is complemented by a selection of warm à la carte dishes, nourishing smoothies, and freshly squeezed juices.

The chef

Michał Ostrowski

Cooking, for me, is more than a craft — it’s a way of telling stories about flavour, nature, and emotion. In the kitchen, I bring together intuition, technique, and a deep respect for the product itself. Every dish I create is guided by harmony — between what is local and seasonal, and what inspires me through travel and encounters with different cultures.

I believe that the best flavours are born from simplicity and authenticity. That’s why my menu is built around fresh, regional ingredients, often in unexpected combinations that surprise, yet always remain balanced and elegant. I want my cuisine to be an invitation to rediscover familiar tastes in a new light — without unnecessary embellishments, but with passion, sensitivity, and respect for nature.

Every dish that reaches the table has its own purpose and emotion — it is meant to delight, but also to tell the story of the place it comes from. It’s a cuisine that speaks the language of the seasons, the sea, and the land.
